Former University of Missouri Football coach Warren Powers has passed way at the age of 80 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Powers served as the head coach of the Tigers from 1978 to 1984. During his seven seasons at Mizzou, Powers compiled a record of 46-33-3, including a 3-2 mark in bowl games. His only losing season was his final season in Columbia as the Tigers went 3-7-1 record. Powers was fired after that season and never coached at the college level again. Following his departure at Mizzou, Powers and his wife Linda moved to St. Louis where he worked as a car salesman until retirement.
