Former Fayette Coach Pallardy Embraces Opportunity at Battle

Battle High School named Ben Pallardy its head boys basketball coach last month. The former Fayette coach notes he landed at Battle last year when a college friend alerted him to a PE position.

Pallardy left Fayette for Eldon in 2018. The Central Methodist graduate proceeded to coach one season at Eldon, leave for a sales job, then guide Russellville for one year. Pallardy volunteer assisted Westminster College women’s basketball last year. The new Battle coach says he’s grateful to lead the Spartans after a winding path.

Pallardy indicates he’s eager to coach Class 6 talent.

The Fort Zumwalt South alumnus Pallardy recognizes the test after stints in Classes 2 and 3.

Pallardy shares his vision for Battle boys basketball.

Pallardy replaces Brian Meny, who retired ahead of his October Hall of Fame induction. Pallardy’s Fayette win totals improved from one to 23 over five seasons. Fayette’s 2017 Glasgow Tournament championship marked the program’s first since 1999.
