Former Cairo Pitcher Taylor Transfers To Central Missouri

A former Cairo pitcher is switching college baseball caps. Bryce Taylor will leave the Columbia College program to transfer to NCAA Division 2 Central Missouri.

Taylor was a 2nd Team all-conference pitcher in helping Columbia College claim its second-ever AMC tournament championship title and advance to the opening round of the NAIA Baseball World Series. Taylor led the Cougars in strikeouts, with 81, and wins going 10-4.

The UCM won 43 games this past season, won the MIAA Tournament, and advanced to another NCAA D2 Tournament falling to Augustana in the Central Regional finals. The Mules program owns two National Championships in 1994 and 2003.

Taylor is pursuing a teaching degree in physical education.
