Fitzwater Appears in Court

The Moberly man accused of shooting and killing another this month will have a preliminary hearing September 10th. 79-year-old Jerry Fitzwater is charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon in the death of 49-year-old Mitchell Nickerson along Burkhart Street July 8th. Fitzwater appeared for a bond hearing Wednesday afternoon. Fitzwater had been held without bond, but no changes have been announced yet
