Fitzsimmons Enters Hall This Weekend

Former Moberly Greyhounds head coach, and Bowling Green High School player Cotton Fitzsimmons is one of 16 people being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend. In nine seasons with the Greyhounds, his teams went 223-59, and won national championships in 1966 and 1967, and region championships in six of those seasons. Fitzsimmons eventually coached 21 seasons in the NBA, going 832-and-775. He also spent time as a team executive, consultant, and broadcaster before dying in 2004 at age 72.
