First Confirmed Case of Coronavirus Announced In Adair County

The Adair County Health Department announced Saturday that the first positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the county. The case is believed to be travel related. The patient first had exposure in Chicago, then traveled by car to Kirksville. During the drive, the patient began to develop symptoms and immediately self-quarantined on arrival.
The Health Department believes the risk of community spread from the positive case is minimal.
