Fatal Accident in Putnam County

A Kirksville resident was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Putnam County Sunday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that just before 1, 52-year-old Clell Evans was was heading east on Route W, a mile east of Martinstown, when he attempted to pass a pickup driven by 58-year-old Murl Lusher of Green Castle on his ATV when the unit Evans was towing struck Lusher’s pickup, causing Evans to overturn. Evans was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported for Lusher.
