Farmers Face March Deadline For ARC, PLC Signups

Two weeks remain for farmers to decide whether to enroll their operations for two of USDA’s signature Farm Bill programs. Signups for Ag Risk Coverage and Price Risk Coverage are for the 2019 growing season, but Farm Service Agency administrator Richard Fordyce says farmers can also take care of 2020 when they visit their local office.
Planning tools are available on USDA’s portal, farmers dot gov. Fordyce says the new farm bill allows greater flexibility for farmers in future signups.
The deadline for 2019 ARC and PLC signup is March 15th, while the 2020 crop year deadline is June 30th.
