Whether it’s a virus outbreak or multiple snowstorms that are causing schools to close for an extended time, more children are spending their days on the farm. Melissa Ploeckelman with the National Farm Medicine Center says parents have had to change their daytime routines, and as a result have added responsibilities.

Ploeckelman says that means farm safety needs to include setting new boundaries for the kids.
