Two Missouri congressmen were recognized by Missouri Farm Bureau at their annual meeting earlier this month with their Outstanding Service to Agriculture Award. Harrisonville Republican Vicky Hartzler commended the group not only for standing up for agriculture, but also being a key part of her life.

Hartzler and her husband Lowell were also active in Farm Bureau, with the congresswoman serving on the Young Farmer and Rancher committee before pursuing political office. She reflected on a profile published of her and other freshmen representatives when she arrived in Washington in 2011.

Fellow Republican Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer, along with current and former Missouri Farm Bureau staff members Randy Campbell, Brian Klippenstein and Diane Olson were also recognized with Farm Bureau’s Outstanding Service to Agriculture award.
