Farm Bureau Ambassadors Selected From Audrain, Bollinger Counties
Missouri Farm Bureau has announced their ambassadors for the next year. During their annual meeting last week, the group selected Lauryn Robnett of Laddonia and Judson Mayfield of Marble Hill to fill the roles for the next year.
Robnett is a junior at the University of Missouri, studying agribusiness management, and a graduate of Community R-VI High School. She is a former state FFA officer, and now serves as secretary of Mizzou’s Collegiate Farm Bureau. Robnett is also a member of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources student council and CAFNR ambassador.
Mayfield is a junior at Southeast Missouri State University, where he is majoring in agribusiness and animal science. He is already involved in his local Farm Bureau, serving as vice president of the Bollinger County Farm Bureau and a member of SEMO’s Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter. Mayfield graduated from Woodland R-4 in Marble Hill, where he was an area FFA officer and state Beta Club president.
The two will serve as ambassadors to Farm Bureau during the next year, representing the organization at public events including a legislative trip to Washington in March and the Missouri State Fair in August. Robnett and Mayfield will each receive a $2500 scholarship. They were among 14 students that competed at last month’s Missouri Farm Bureau annual meeting. Six students advanced to the finals, which this year were set up as panels discussing various topics in agriculture.
