Missouri farmers in need of financial assistance to cover medical, grocery, or other household expenses are still able to apply for five-hundred dollar grants from Farm Aid. The grants are available through Missouri Farmers Union, who have teamed up with Kansas Farmers Union to offer funds to help farm families weather the ongoing pandemic and economic uncertainty. KFU President Donn Teske says it’s the latest effort by Farm Aid to keep family farms afloat.

Teske says while Kansas’ share of the funds have been awarded, they still have several opportunities available for farmers on the Missouri side.

Applications will be accepted through Sunday. Details on how Missouri farmers can apply are available on the Kansas Farmers Union website.
