Fall Sports Practices Begin

It’s here….the fall sports season. Practices officially begin today (Monday).

In our preparation for the new season, we have a couple of sports specials scheduled. We will visit with area softball coaches on our Warm-Up Show on Wednesday, August 23rd, starting at 5:35pm. The next night, we will have interviews with area football coaches on the Kickoff Show on Thursday, August 24th, at 5:35. The new football season begins Friday, August 25th, and that means the return of the Endzone Show following our broadcast action.

On the college scene, we will once again be the voice of the Truman State. The Bulldogs open at Findlay, Ohio, on September 2nd. Mizzou will host South Dakota on the final night of this month, which is a Thursday. Most Tiger games can be found on 99.9 The Captain.

Kansas City Chiefs preseason football begins this Sunday at New Orleans. Pregame coverage will begin at 11am on KIRK, with games all season long on 99.9 The Captain.
