Great Pershing Balloon Derby

An area Labor Day weekend tradition, the Great Pershing Balloon Derby, will be held in and around Brookfield Friday-Monday, September 1st-4th. Morning balloon launches will begin at 7:15 Saturday-Monday. Evening launches will begin at 6:00 both Saturday and Sunday. The South Main Night Flame will be Friday night around 7:30. On Saturday, the Balloon Derby parade will begin at noon and there will be activities in Twin Parks from 10-3:00. Saturday and Sunday nights will feature the Basel Downey Memorial Launch Site Nite Light at 7:30.
