71st Annual Lenten Luncheon and Evening Dinners

The mission of this event is to provide a venue where people of all denominations can come together to hear uplifting messages by our community’s pastors during the Lenten season. Altrusa wants to continue the tradition of bringing people in the community (and surrounding areas) together during the season of Lent to inspire and prepare us for the Holy Week & Easter. This event is one of the six times that we bring the community members together and provides a welcoming atmosphere outside of the regular church doors. It also helps new pastors coming to the area to meet their peers and community members. The Lenten Luncheon Service Project is the oldest Moberly Altrusa project beginning in 1952! Most churches in the Moberly area have been represented by their pastor’s message throughout the years, however, it is a great time for others to gather for food, fellowship and a message.
