Energy Efficiency Projects Electrified by Funds From USDA Rural Development

Three programs through USDA’s Rural Development office will allocate $13 billion to projects improving the nation’s electrical grid.  Deputy undersecretary Farah Ahmad says that includes two new programs.

Ahmad adds that a longstanding program, the Rural Energy for America Program or REAP, has received an additional $2 billion through the Inflation Reduction Act.  She says the grants are available for businesses and farms.

Information about USDA Rural Development’s energy programs are available on the agency’s website.
