Education Chair Pleased With Passage of 349

The Chair of the Elementary and Secondary Education committee is pleased with the House passage of the bill that establishes the Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts Program. Representative Chuck Basye says it was approved by a slim margin.

The Rocheport Republican says the bill was changed during the process.

The bill is now in the hands of the senate, where additional school reform legislation is also under consideration.
