Senate Bill 55, which deals with a number of elements centering on school choice, is generating discussion throughout the state. Senator Cindy O’Laughlin, the Chair of the Senate Education Committee, says the bill has been changed since she filed it.

The bill has cleared the Education Committee.

The Shelbina Republican says there are other misconceptions about the bill too.

O’Laughlin says there will be a lot of negotiation on the bill, and it’s hard to predict what it will look like in the end.
