The inspection of Edina’s water tower recently wrapped up. City Clerk Margaret Gibson reports the inspection of the inside and outside of the tower was positive.

Klingner and Associates of Quincy, Illinois conducted the inspection. Gibson explains how the inspection was performed.

Plans are in place to give the water tower a fresh coat of paint. However, that process won’t take place for another two years. Gibson outlines the reasons for the delay.

Once the painting process begins, the Edina water tower will first be sandblasted to remove the current layer of paint. Afterwards, a fresh coat will be applied.
