Dura Closing Moberly Facility

Dura Automotive Systems informed the state Office of Workforce Development last Friday that it will permanently lay off 81 employees in Moberly, starting May 1st. The company said in the notice that if it cannot find a buyer for its facility on Robertson Road, it will permanently close. All affected workers have been notified. The company had filed for bankruptcy in October, and had been trying to restructure its debts or sell assets, but says the COVID-19 pandemic has made that effort tougher.
