Less than two months after being hired as the new head coach of the Missouri Tigers, Eliah Drinkwitz oversaw his first signing class. A total of 17 players make up Mizzou’s 2020 signing class. One of the most notable signings is defensive back Ennis Rakestraw of Duncanville, Texas. Drinkwitz says Rakestraw’s signing was a pleasant surprise.

The Tigers also shored up their defensive line for the future with the signings of Ben Key, Johnny Walker, and Montray Edwards. Drinkwitz says the defensive line was a particular focus for them.

Drinkwitz’s coaching staff features a mix of assistants from his previous coaching stops and some holdovers from former coach Barry Odom’s staff. Drinkwitz says these assistants played a vital role in this recruiting process.

Mizzou’s signing class for 2020 features five players from Missouri, including linebacker Will Norris from Rock Bridge High School. The 2020 Mizzou Spring Game will be held April 11th at Faurot Field.
