Doolin Says Fayette Excited to Join New Conference, Appreciative of L&C Heritage

Fayette along with Harrisburg recently announced intentions to leave the Lewis and Clark Conference to form a new one. Fayette Superintendent Brent Doolin says the decision to leave the L&C has been in the works since last year.

Scheduling conflicts with multiple L&C schools switching to 8-man football was also a cited factor for the decision. Doolin says Fayette leaves the Lewis and Clark with fond memories.

Doolin says the members of the new conference want to build it up the right way.

A name has not yet been determined for the new conference.
