Dent Set to Return to Clark County as Boys Basketball Coach

After spending the past three years as the boys’ basketball coach at Paris, Dennis Dent is set to return to Clark County as the Indians’ new boys’ basketball coach. The Paris Coyotes went 37-36 during Dent’s tenure. Dent reflects on his time at Paris.

The Coyotes went 8-15 in Dent’s final year as head coach. Dent now returns to Clark County where he previously served as an assistant football coach during the 2016 season. He also was a graduate of Knox County High School. Dent says being closer to home was one of the main attractions of the Clark County job.

Dent takes over a Clark County squad that went 7-18 this past season. Dent says he’s ready for the challenge of facing a rugged schedule in the Clarence Cannon Conference.

While Dent is set for a return to familiar scenery, he says he’s grateful for his time spent at Paris.

Dent takes over for Adam Rung who recently accepted the Monroe City head girls basketball coaching job.
