Issues such as eminent domain, voter photo I.D., and agricultural tax credits have all been brought up as potential items to be dealt with during a special session this summer in Missouri. However, Representative Peggy McGaugh of Carrollton notes the decision to call a special session is in the hands of Governor Mike Parson.

McGaugh says one area that needs to be addressed outside of the regular session deals with the Federal Reimbursement Act (FRA) and how it relates to the state budget.

However, Parson has indicated he won’t necessarily call a special session regarding the two-point-six-billion dollars through FRA to fund Medicaid. McGaugh served on the House Budget Committee during this year’s legislative session.
