Dean Still Ready to Move Forward as New Macon County Presiding Commissioner

Dean Still is the new Macon County Presiding Commissioner. He defeated Tim Remole Tuesday by a vote of 1,469-948. Still describes the atmosphere in his camp during election night.

Still’s election means he will join a county commission also made up of District One Commissioner Kevin Souther and District Two Commissioner Clarence Walker. Still says the key to being successful as presiding commissioner will be bringing several different county entities together.

Still adds his vision for the future of Macon County follows this theme.

Still will take over for Alan Wyatt, who spent the past 16 years as Macon County’s presiding commissioner.
