David Allen Severs, age 59 of Hannibal, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Cremation rites were conducted under the direction of Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes & Crematory in Bowling Green, MO according to his wishes. A family led celebration of life will be held at a later date.

David was born May 2, 1965 in Elgin, IL, the son of Donald Eugene and Minnie Belle Fouch Severs. Born one of six siblings, David grew up in Ashley, IL and attended grade school in Nashville, IL. Following school, he attended Kaskaskia College for 2 years, until his father had a stroke and he chose to return home to care for his father while his mother entered the workforce to care for the children still in the home.

On May 7, 1987, David married the love of his life Theresa Ann Love at her parent’s house and to this union three children were born. David was a welder by trade and worked for Kinglsey Fisher in Centralia, Il and Bentley Boats making pontoon boats in Mexico, MO. In the late 90’s the family moved to Hannibal. In his spare time David enjoyed being with family and friends, cooking outdoor, fishing and hunting and as his children got older, teaching them to hunt and fish.

Survivors include wife Theresa Severs of Hannibal; sons Jacob Severs and Tony Severs of Hannibal; daughter Susan Severs of New London; one grandchild Carter Wayne Severs; brother Charles Severs of Hannibal and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Barb, Wanda, Becky and Carol.
