Darlene Marie Jennings, 83, of Curryville, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Tri-County Care Center – Baptist Homes of Tri-County in Vandalia.

Graveside services for Darlene will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Frankford. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green.

Darlene was born April 20, 1941, in Hannibal to John and Fannie (Powell) Gibbons. She was united in marriage to Delmar William Henry Jennings on December 21, 1957, in Bowling Green. Delmar survives.

Darlene grew up between Hannibal and New London and attended Eugene Fields school in Hannibal. The family later moved to Frankford. It was at Frankford School that Darlene met Delmar.

Darlene was a stay-at-home mother. She took great pride in raising her family, and she loved spending time with them, especially the grandkids. Darlene enjoyed playing cards and shopping. She also enjoyed when company came to visit. Darlene loved sweet tea with ice.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Delmar of Curryville; children: Debbie Jennings of Frankford, Mary Riley of New London, Barbie Romig (Dean) of New London, and Penny Jerman of Curryville; grandchildren: Amy Riley, Clyde Jennings, Scott Riley, Brian Jennings, Kevin Jennings (Deanna), Justin Riley, Jake Romig (Haley), Jessy Browning (Zack), Whitney Naeger (Matt), Mia Schenck (Morgan), and Savannah Jerman; great-grandchildren: Andrew Jennings, Alaina Jennings, Bradley Riley, Laney Holley, Lucy Holley, Rylie Jennings, Maggie Riley, Ilias Holley, Breanna Jennings, Lilly Holley, Clay Naeger, Nellie Naeger, Madi Romig, Easton Romig, Nova Jennings, Braylie Harris, Bryer Harris, Evelyn Romig, and Cannon Romig; great-great-grandchildren, Spencer Freels, Everleigh Jennings, and Emelyn Riley; four step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Gibbons (Mary Lou) of Frankford; sister, Millie Motley of Bowling Green; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; son, Pete Jennings; sons-in-law, Jeff Riley and Elgin Jennings; and siblings, Raymond Gibbons, Henry Gibbons, Virgil Gibbons, James Gibbons, Bob Gibbons, Joe Gibbons, and Gertrude Cox.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Jennings, Brian Jennings, Justin Riley, Scott Riley, Kevin Jennings, and Jake Romig.
