Dairy Month Recognizes Farm Family Histories, Ongoing Legacies

The Missouri Department of Agriculture marked National Dairy Month last Thursday at a brief ceremony hosted by Salt Creek Dairy in Osage County.  The farm is owned by sixth-generation farmer and current chairman of the State Milk Board, Alfred Brandt.

Brandt says Dairy Month is a chance to continue the industry’s legacy, especially by consumers buying a dairy product.

Thursday’s ceremony in Osage County included a proclamation from Missouri Governor Mike Parson that was presented by first lady Teresa Parson.
