The latest COVID-19 report from the Macon County Health Department shows another drop in new cases in the county. The latest numbers show 24 new cases, down twelve from the previous week. The number of active cases has also dropped significantly, with only 18 reported. That includes two hospitalizations. Two-thirds of the new cases are from Macon. The Macon County Health Department reminds residents that they offer both the Moderna and the Johnson & Johnson vaccines weekly in their office. They will also be offered at their drive-thru flu and COVID-19 clinic on October 7th at the Macon County Fairgrounds from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
