January 15, 2020 6:52AM CST
The Midwest Cover Crops Council will have its annual meeting in Missouri for the first time. The 2020 Annual Meeting and Conference will take place February 11th and 12th at the KCI Expo Center. University of Missouri Extension field specialist Charles Ellis is one of Missouri’s representatives on the council, and says the conference’s topics will reflect it taking place on the edge of the corn belt.
Ellis says several beef producers near his office in Troy have turned to cover crops for their primary source of forage.
Information on the annual meeting of the Midwest Cover Crops Council, February 11th and 12th in Kansas City, is available on the council’s website. The council covers 12 states and one Canadian province.
