As we move into the sixth month of dealing with the coronavirus, it is beginning to wear on local health departments. Mike Chambers, the Executive at the Macon County Health Department was asked about the impact it’s having on departments across the state.

Randolph County Health Department Administrator Sharon Whisenand agrees.

Whisenand says there are a lot of hours being put in by employees of the health departments, which often includes giving up family time.

We will talk about the coronavirus at 9:33 Tuesday morning on the MRMC Doctor’s Office program on KWIX. Whisenand will be joined by Jim LeBaron the Administrator at the Adair County Health Department, and our phone lines will be open for your questions.
