The Missouri Legislature was initially scheduled to return from their spring break earlier this week. However, the coronavirus epidemic has forced the shutdown of the State Capitol for at least two weeks. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch of Hallsville says there is a tentative return date.
Depending on the severity of the coronavirus the return date could be pushed back. Toalson Reisch indicates when legislators do return to Jefferson City, they will have a tight window to get a lot done.
The Missouri House of Representatives did hold a technical session Monday under a requirement of the state constitution.
