Cooper County Farmer Endures Replanting, Extreme Drought

Harvest wrapped up in early November for Robert Alpers of Prairie Home.  The Cooper County farmer tells Regional Radio extreme drought conditions affected part of his fields, while others received more timely rainfalls.

Severe drought developed over Cooper and surrounding counties in July, just two months after heavy rains caused Alpers and others to replant.

Extreme drought conditions appeared in Cooper County in late September.  Robert Alpers of Prairie Home represents Missouri on the United Soybean Board.
