“Crack Green Beans”
5 cans green beans, drained
8 slices bacon, crisp and crumbled (she used 10)
2/3 c. brown sugar (reduce to make less sweet)
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 T. soy sauce
Put the green beans in the bottom of a 9 by 13 dish. Sprinkle the bacon on top. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour on top. Bake uncovered 40 minutes at 350.

“Pecan Cobbler”
6 T. real butter (no substitute)
1 c. pecans
1 1/2 c. self rising flour (no substitute)
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 c. hot water
Preheat oven to 350. Pour the melted butter in a 9 by 13 pan. Sprinkle the pecans over the butter and do not mix. Set that aside. Mix the flour, sugar, milk and vanilla….stir, but do not over mix. Pour the batter over pecans and butter, but do not mix. Carefully sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the batter. Do not mix. Carefully pour the hot water over the top. Do not stir. Bake 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cobbler will have a slight jiggle. Cool. Good to warm up or serve cold.

“Grandma’s Dream Pumpkin Pie”
1 can pumpkin
1 box vanilla instant pudding
2/3 c. milk (whipping cream)
1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (she uses more)
1-2 c. Cool Whip
Mix together. Put in baked pie shell and chill.

“Green Bean Casserole”
1 pkg. Stove Top Stuffing mix
1 lb. can green beans, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
Prepare stuffing according to package directions. May use bean liquid for part of the liquid. Stir in other ingredients. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes

“Green Bean Casserole”
1 qt. green beans, drained
1 lb. ground beef, cooked
1 lb. pkg. frozen tater tots
1 can celery soup
potato chips or crackers
Combine beans, drained beef and tater tots. Mix with soup, place in two casserole dishes. Top with crushed potato chips or crackers. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Makes two large casseroles. Can be frozen.

“Green Bean Casserole”
1 pkg. frozen green beans cooked, or 1 can green beans
1 can mushroom soup
1 can French Fried onions
dash of pepper
2 T. diced pimento (optional)
Drain beans and combine with soup, pepper and 1/2 can of onions. Pour into greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Top with the rest of onions and pimento. Bake for 5 more minutes.
