Conway Senior Completes State Fair Journey With Dairy Show Sweep

A Laclede County senior didn’t stop believing in her Guernsey dairy cow, leading her to the FFA, Supreme, and Open show championships at the Missouri State Fair this weekend.  Whitney Yerina claimed top honors Sunday with her cow Journey, and also finished first in the FFA Showmanship contest.  She says she knew Journey would be the one to lead her to the top prize.

Journey finished second at last year’s fair.  Yerina explains what the two improved on over the past year.

Yerina plans to bring Journey to the World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin and the North American International Livestock Expo in Louisville.  Before then, she’ll begin her senior year at Conway High School as her chapter’s FFA president.
