Conference Foes Marceline and Fayette Meet in State Quarterfinals

Lewis and Clark Conference schools Marceline and Fayette meet in the state quarterfinals at Marceline Saturday. Marceline owns seven straight league titles, and the Tigers topped the Falcons 37-0 in week four. Tigers head coach Mark Ross analyzes where the teams stand two months later.

Marceline limited Lewis and Clark Offensive Player of the Year Garren Vroman to 102 rushing yards, which was less than half of Vroman’s season average.

Ross’ 10-1 Tigers were also the lone team to hold Vroman scoreless. Falcons head coach Mike Thompson shares the keys in the run game.
