Community Service Connects Higginsville Farm Family To Consumers

A farmer’s work is never done, especially if their job includes volunteering for an assortment of boards. Cara Riekhof of Higginsville serves with her husband Garrett on a number of local and state organizations. She says it’s one way to connect not just with fellow farmers, but also consumers.

The Riekhofs also volunteer at their children’s school, providing an opportunity to educate about agriculture.

Riekhof also operates the family-owned crop insurance agency while husband Garrett serves on the Missouri Soybean Association Board of Directors.
