Commissioner Hobbs Employing Bigger Rock to Build Up Randolph Road Base

Since last year, Randolph County has gone with a different approach to maintaining roads. Western District Commissioner John Hobbs said an engineering study revealed the county roads lacked base and the shoulders were soft.

Hobbs understands the larger rock can be inconvenient for drivers.

Commissioner Hobbs said the engineers will come back later this summer to see if the road base is where it needs to be.
