Columbia Rescinds Declaration of Emergency

The City of Columbia will lift its declaration of emergency Saturday, May 29. Columbia has been under the declaration since March 16 of last year. The decision comes after the health order for the city was officially lifted at 11:59am Wednesday. The reasoning is linked to case rates of COVID-19 remaining low and the vaccine being readily available for community members.
