Columbia Public Works Will Practice Snow Routes Tuesday

The City of Columbia’s Public Works crews will conduct their annual dry snow run training exercise Tuesday. Crews will review safety procedures and practice their snow routes in order to better prepare for winter. Columbia has more than 14-hundred lame niles of streets and 11 hundred cul-de-sacs. More than 691 lane miles of Columbia’s roads are considered priority routes. Crews will primarily practice these routes, observing differing street widths and familiarizing themselves with any barriers that they might encounter.
