Columbia Police Investigating Stabbing

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a stabbing that took place Friday afternoon shortly after 1 pm in the 200 block of Apple Tree Court. Officers were initially dispatched to the 4500 block of Bethel Street, however, during the investigation, officers learned the stabbing was a result of a domestic disturbance that occurred in a residence in the 200 block of Apple Tree Court. Officers located a 26-year old man who had suffered moderate injuries. He was transported to a local emergency room in a personal vehicle. Officers have arrested 18-year old Jayce Phillips for domestic assault in the incident. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
