Columbia Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A Columbia man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Boone County Tuesday night. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department says around 7:50pm, 31-year-old Austin Sweet was speeding on Old Plank Road when he crashed head-on into an SUV turning into a parking lot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Three people in the SUV were uninjured.
