Cole County Fatal Accident

A Cole County man died in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Dodge Caravan driven by 53-year-old Donald Maupins of Jefferson City was headed west on Route C at Route V when his vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Maupins was pronounced dead at the scene and it was reported he was not wearing a seat belt.
