Climate Smart Pilot Program Funding Deadline Is Friday

Funds for smaller groups who have a pilot project aimed at encouraging farmers to increase their climate resilience while expanding market opportunities remain available from USDA, but the deadline for grant applications is Friday.  Joe Aull, Missouri’s executive director for the Farm Service Agency, says that the first round of applications for the Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities attracted hundreds of applicants.

Aull says USDA is looking for programs that encourage the adoption of climate-smart practices.

Details about USDA’s Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities are available on the USDA website.
