Clawson will assume his duties as superintendent July 1. Current South Shelby Superintendent Tim Maddex, announced he will resign at the end of the school year. However, he will continue his employment in the school district. Clawson is looking forward to working with him.
The board chose Clawson after partnering with EdCounsel to conduct a national search.
