Clarence Native Prepares For Retirement From Farm Bureau

Kelly Smith has served Missouri farmers for 36 years on the staff of Missouri Farm Bureau.  Next month, he’ll bring his career to an end, having spent the past 26 years as the group’s senior director for marketing and commodities.  One of Smith’s most significant accomplishments came recently with the establishment of the Missouri Meat Producers Directory.

More than 600 producers and butchers are now listed on the directory.  Smith began his tenure with Farm Bureau as a regional insurance field services coordinator.  He says he’s glad to have worked for as long as he has for what he calls a family organization.

Missouri Farm Bureau’s senior director for marketing and commodities Kelly Smith is a Clarence native.  Smith says that his final day is April 19th.
