City of Macon Investigates Whistleblower Complaint

The City of Macon says no further investigation is needed after a whistleblower complaint was received by the Missouri State Auditor’s office in March 2020. The complaint cited projects awarded by the city to JT Holman Construction, a company owned by Mayor James “Talt” Holman. Macon City Administrator Avis Marshall said in a statement, “We have a duty to our citizens to safeguard the public funds entrusted to us and are pleased that the investigation of the Missouri State Auditor’s office confirms our compliance in this area.”
