The Chariton County Health Department has issued a Stay-At-Home order for the county. The order will go into effect Monday morning at 8 and will remain in effect until at least April 24th. The order was put into place in order to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the county. Residents are asked to stay home if they aren’t engaging in essential activities. Questions about this order may be sent to [email protected].

The Department also announced Saturday that another resident in the county has tested positive for COVID-19. The name of the person will not be released, but a contact history will be obtained from the patient, and persons potentially affected will be contacted. Chariton County now has three confirmed cases of COVID-19.
