CHANGES TO EDINA SEWER AND SANITATION RATES BEING CONSIDERED

A preliminary budget for the upcoming fiscal year in Edina was discussed during their Tuesday meeting. During the budget discussion City Treasurer Peggy Collinge brought up a proposal to raise city sewer rates and lower the sanitation rates. Edina City Clerk Margaret Gibson outlines the sewer rate increase.
Meanwhile, the proposal to decrease the sanitation rate won’t be as drastic.
Public meeting will be held in December to discuss the rate changes. Meanwhile, a city budget meeting is scheduled to take place December 2nd. The budget could be finalized as early as the next Edina City Council meeting on December 9th.
