Centralia’s Jayci Shelton Takes Runner Up, Brookfield’s Jayden Keller 4th at Fargo

Centralia’s Jayci Shelton and Brookfield’s Jayden Keller are bringing home medals from the 16U & Junior Nationals freestyle wrestling tournament in Fargo, North Dakota. Shelton was the 144lb 16U runner-up, falling in the championship to Morgan Lucio of Arizona. She beat wrestlers from Ohio, Colorado, California and Iowa en route to the finals. Keller placed 4th at 112. Shelton and Keller were two of seven All-American 16U girls from Missouri, which finished with the third most points out of 46 states competing. Also wrestling in 16U was Moberly’s Bre Gibbs, who notched three wins and fell one shy of a top eight finish. Competing in the Junior division, Marceline’s Payton Weese had two victories.
